Merge, as stated from months ago by an anonymous user who forgot to add a new section to this article.

The anonymous user must have forgotten, or maybe he did not know, to put a new section here. No problem, 95.116.159.184, I have done it for you! However, this edit states about what he want's to do with the merge. He said: "+ tag for {{Rogueware|Rogue security software|merge from|Rogueware|Rogue security software}}. There is no evident distinction between the two RogueXYZs, and both are already are covered completely by Scareware (see 2nd para of lead there)." Anyway, after months of letting this discussion go, it's time to begin the discussion! DSCrowned(Talk) 08:58, 15 October 2014 (UTC)

I've killed rogueware as it had no cites and was just a stub (per WP:NEO). Moved redirect targets to Rogue security software. -- Callinus (talk) 11:33, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
  • I support merging the two. Rogue security software just sounds like another form of scareware, and the fact that both articles are similar means having both is redundant. --GastonRabbit (talk) 07:44, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
Oppose - Rogue security software certainly doesn't need to scare; indeed, a stealthy, undetected gain of an advantage may be preferred by those with nefarious intent. Klbrain (talk) 21:19, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
