“Delaforce’s”—Vintage 1922—Bottled Derby Day, 1924—Labelled “Sansovino’s Year”
At the Red Cross auction on 18 November 1941, held by “Messrs. W. & T. Restell by the courtesy of Messrs. Christie” (the catalogue surviving at Christie’s), lots 325 and 326, “Presented by H. J. Delaforce, Esq., London”, totalled 12 magnums of “Delaforce’s”—Vintage 1922—Bottled Derby Day, 1924—Labelled “Sansovino’s Year”. (My pictures 22839/48.)
