This is something that I have scratched my head over 1,000 times before. Some people seem to like putting things in double square brackets (to link them to other wikipedia pages) even though there are no pages. Now to me this seems a little pointless and just makes articles look messy. Have I missed something here? If no-one replies within a week I will remove the needless link. But they will of course stay if someone replies! Cls14 00:34, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Which link do you think should be deleted? Seems to me that all of them will turn blue one day ;). besides I don't think it makes anything look messy just shows you what needs to be done, so instead of removing dead links we should rather be filling them... --ro|3ek 08:43, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted some of the frankly unnecessary dead links. Left the ones that may be created open. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ali Basheer (talkcontribs) 19:21, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Warwickshire Village of the Year

I attempted to find some material to support this claim, but ran upon nothing significant. I have failed to find any websites that 1) Represent the competition, or 2) List the winners of it. Whilst numerous parish websites proudly list their winning, the Salford Priors website does not.

I request removing the claim from the article, as no supporting citations have been (And by the looks of things, can be) provided. HJBristow (talk) 23:49, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

WarAG

WarAG is not linked to another Wikipedia page and maybe it needn't be, but I wondered what ministry in the wartime government the abbreviation stood for. Perhaps someone could add an explanation in parenthesis after the word. BTW, Land Army does have a link, but the link is not shown.--Oldontarian (talk) 09:04, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
