It would be good to see a reference for the statement that the show was cancelled due to poor popularity of the 3rd & 4th series. Given the sporadic history of the show it is not immediately evident that it has been cancelled, and indeed I wonder if it might be more accurate to say "...no more series have been commissioned" (I hope I'm not splitting hairs here, it's just that cancellation implies that even more seasons were originally being planned, it would be nice to clarify this point.) Style

• As RTT was made in a Commonwealth country and broadcast primarily in Commonwealth countries, I think the article should use Commonwealth English. This is in line with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#National_varieties_of_English Almost all RTT websites that I have seen conform to this, e.g. using "series" rather than "season", and most English-speaking readers are likely to be from Commonwealth countries where the TV series aired.

• I have been regularising typography, e.g. ensuring use of italics for episode titles and bold for names of people and objects.

I am going to fix it up. All of the official DVD releases and the official web-site use series. 'Season' only seems to have crept in from American usage in the last two decades.Deonyi (talk) 12:15, 6 July 2019 (UTC)

Content

I think a fair amount of emphasis needs to be on the meta-level, e.g. how RTT was received, the cultural context, literary analysis etc; an encyclopaedia article should not just be a guide to a tv series with cast and episode lists and trivia - there are already many such sites. This is an area where many Wiki TV articles fall down, and I'm trying to go some way to addressing it for TV series that I have an attachment to. (Having said that, an episode list would not be out of place!) Samatarou 18:47, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

'Fantastic'

It seems rather heavy handed to add a reference to the main article simply to justify the use of an adjective, so instead I'll just note here that the term fantastic stories used in the opening para can if necessary be justified by this article which notes that Penguin describes him as "one of the world's foremost living tellers of fantastic tales" 19:33, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Because the word 'fantastic' is much more often than not used to describe something as 'amazing', 'superbe' etc., it doesn't quite work here - it certainly seems like a point-of-view. For that reason, I really feel that your latest edit, to the word 'fantasy', works much better. _TheIslander 20:10, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Ratings I couldn't figure out how to do an article rating but I would rate this of medium importance overall (in the context of Wikipedia Australia). Round the Twist is of great importance in the context of English language Children's Television, as it has been broadcast in many countries and is generally perceived to be a programme made to a very high standard (especially the first two series), and one which pushed the boundaries in terms of acceptable content for a children's programme by use of inventiveness, humour, and fantasy plots. Meaning - who was it?

It seemed to me that the phrase "held regard for his talent" was a bit clunky, so I changed it. I trust it reads easier now. But in the process I wasn't sure if the "his" referred to Esben or Jennings. I hope I got it right. Peter Tuffin (talk) 12:23, 20 December 2020 (UTC)

I excised the Reviews section because it dropped into promotional territory. I think some of the material can be salvaged and put into a "Reception" section, but there is a lot of quoted material (which the entire section was made up of). I'll post it here if someone wants to rescue some of the quotes to be reworked into Reception.

However, in the English article, if you want to select the language icon, it states that “The Page is not available in other lamguages”, which is untrue.
