Japan-centric focus

This article should arguably be generalized. Rice paddles are pretty widely used tools, and I'm skeptical that their oldest version was in Japan. Rice cultivation happened in China first, then moved to Korea and Japan; I wouldn't be surprised if rice scoopers originated in China. 211.43.120.242 (talk) 12:18, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone ahead and added what I could find from Korean academic sources. Unfortunately I can't read Chinese, and English Google doesn't come up with very many sources, so I'm unable to include anything about Chinese rice scoopers. MetropolitanIC (💬|📝) 04:30, 20 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ShamojiRice paddle – The current page and title are too Japan-focused. The title is also not the WP:COMMONNAME, nor does it abide by WP:USEENGLISH. See this crude ngram. 211.43.120.242 (talk) 12:22, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
