The description here comes entirely from Chauvet. It disagrees with the description at the UI art museum. It would be a good idea to verify with the German article. kwami (talk) 02:17, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Description is wrong indeed. Rei means 'neck ornament' and miro means 'wood', thus reimiro means 'wooden neck ornament'. This can be checked in several modern books on Easter Island, no reason to cite outdated information from self-published book from 1930s. --xRiffRaffx (talk) 16:00, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
