Paragraph removed -- credibility of supporting source questioned

I've moved the following here from this article:

Legal documents show that from 1981 to 1988, 2,005 cases were filed against U.S. servicemen in [[Subic]] and 1,269 cases were filed against the U.S. servicemen in [[Clark]]. All were dismissed. Records of the [[Olongapo City]] prosecutors office reveal that during the same period, fifteen cases of sexual abuse of children between ages 11 and 16 were filed in their office against US servicemen. All were dismissed. I recently removed the same paragraph from the RP-US Visiting Forces Agreement article, and explained my reasons here. The same reasoning applies here — it boils down mainly to apparent lack of credibility of the article cited as a supporting source. This removal left the US Military Presence section pretty sparse, and there probably should be more information there. The information, however, needs to be encyclopedic not argumentative, should not be filled with POV innuendo, and needs to be supported by reliable sources. -- Boracay Bill (talk) 06:04, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Proposal

Senator Bong Revilla initiated and called for the probe on Angeles slavery amid the Police's denial and reluctance. Despite these, Revilla filed the bill. Please expand on this to let readers know about the latest on Senate Press Release. --Florentino floro (talk) 09:04, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Needs Work

I stumbled across this article and it definitely needs some work. Before making any major changes I would like to get some feedback. here are my suggestions:

• 1. It seems to me that a statistics section should contain statistics and as little opinion and comment as necessary. I like the disclaimer used on NationMaster "Crime statistics are often better indicators of prevalence of law enforcement and willingness to report crime, than actual prevalence." Comments can go elsewhere in the article. The first citation link here isnt working. In the second citation the number cited as 2,393 is for victims of child abuse and not for rape. this is highly inaccurate.
• 2. The entire sexual slavery section needs to go. It is not about rape.
• 3. It may be better to put one line statements into other parts of the article instead of making a separate section for everything. Some ideas and statements are being repeated in different sections, such as unwillingness to report crimes and the inaccurate child rape statistic.
• 4. the PNP DSWD and NGO section could be combined.
• 5. It seems odd that one rape case is being singled out from the thousands of rape cases in the Philippines simply because the convicted was American. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Luzonman (talk • contribs) 21:12, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
