Commentary

  • Article should be in American English usage per WP:TIES.Georgejdorner (talk) 17:10, 6 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • Per example: "megatonne" is a Briticism.Georgejdorner (talk) 06:47, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
      • Corrected. Unfortunately, my spell checker cannot spot Briticisms. Hawkeye7 (talk) 09:31, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comments from LT910001

Hello Hawkeye7! We meet again. I look forward to providing a second opinion on what is sure to be an interesting article.

Minor concerns regarding readability:

  • "Water Boiler nuclear reactor". Would value a wikilink to "Water Boiler" so I can understand what this is. If it's the name, suggest write as "The "Water Boiler" nuclear reactor"
    checkY Unfortunately, there is no article on the Water Boiler, so I added a link to its type. Hawkeye7 (talk) 20:49, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "which went critical in May 1944" not too sure what "went critical" means.
    checkY Reactors commence operation when then "go critical" ie start producing power from a self-sustaining nuclear reaction. Changed to "commenced operation". Hawkeye7 (talk) 20:49, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Slorin" -> "Slotin"
    checkY Corrected. Hawkeye7 (talk) 20:49, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • A reference for this statement "Raemer Edgar Schreiber was born in McMinnville, Oregon on November 11, 1910, the son of Bertha (née Raemer) and Michael Schreiber" is just a URL.
    checkY Who put that in there? Corrected. Hawkeye7 (talk) 20:49, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • No qualms about Briticisms.
    checkY Corrected. Hawkeye7 (talk) 20:49, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Other than the reference issue, I would support this article's nomination to GA status. Thanks for contributing information about this individual to Wikipedia! There is the chance that the primary reviewer Georgejdorner is caught-up in something, so I will wait until this Wednesday (6th) and if the reference issue has been fixed, I will make the changes myself. Kind regards, LT910001 (talk) 11:42, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

All changes made. If you are happy with the article, then you can pass it. Hawkeye7 (talk) 20:49, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Have made the changes. Well done, I look forward to perusing your continued contributions. LT910001 (talk) 02:14, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
