Born in Nicaragua, Running for US Presidency?

As I understand the constitutional requirements for the presidency (Article II, Clause 5), he cannot become president, even if elected. Is this worth mentioning? Shnizzedy (talk) 00:13, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article says, "Because he is not a natural born citizen of the United States, Calero is ineligible to become U.S. president under the United States Constitution." Does this need to be placed more prominently? -David Schaich Talk/Cont 07:01, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Roger Calero is not an American he is a permanant resident without US citizenship. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.253.126.105 (talk) 19:16, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He's not an American citizen, which is already noted by the article. It is misleading to call him a Nicaraguan journalist, as he's based in New York and has lived in the United States since he was 15. -David Schaich Talk/Cont 00:33, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What a clown. Why are we even wasting ink putting this guy on the ballots? He's not even a citizen, and if I had my druthers, he'd be on the next plane back to Managua.Ndriley97 (talk) 18:53, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. This guy should not be listed as an American. He's not a citizen, just a resident alien. The fact he's run for President despite not being eligible doesn't make him American, either. 71.49.185.244 (talk) 14:19, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
