company closing

CNN News: OxyContin maker to plead guilty to federal criminal charges, pay $8 billion, and will close the company. - https://edition.cnn.com/2020/10/21/business/purdue-pharma-guilty-plea/index.html Kdammers (talk) 16:42, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

According to this article from the New York Times dated September 1, 2021 the company has been officially dissolved as of that date, so should the Purdue Pharma article be edited to reflect that the company is defunct and its assets moved to a new public benefit corporation? I don't want to make any changes until I hear a concensus. YborCityJohn (talk) 02:41, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Marketing strategy

This article needs a separate section describing Pharma's aggressive marketing strategy. At the moment, its marketing is mostly mixed up under the Controversies section. Kiwimanic (talk) 21:30, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Purdue Frederick vs. Purdue Pharma

This article gives the impression that Purdue Frederick Company is the same entity as Purdue Pharma but that's not the case. The Richard Sackler deposition goes into a lot of detail on this in the first thirty minutes. The "Timeline of the opioid epidemic" article on Wikipedia also says "May 10, 2007 Purdue Frederick Company Inc, an affiliate of Purdue Pharma [...]" which makes it clear there's some difference. This article should clarify what that difference is. Jartine (talk) 02:50, 27 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
