Free speech is imperative.

please note that there are many other important holidays in Macedonia. Considering the fact that Macedonia is a an Orthodox country, I think that there are some holidays that should be added on the list. I am not sure about the dates (I can post them later), but there are important holidays like: St. Mother of Christ(macedonian:Bogorodica; there are two dates on which this holiday is celebrated), St. Nicholas (Macedonian: Sveti Nikola), St. Archangel Michael (Arhangel Mihail), St. John Baptiser (Sveti Jovan Krstitel - this holiday is on 20th January, I can remember that), Sts. Cyril and Methodius - the Salonika brothers (Sveti Kiril i Metodij - Solunskite braka), Ilinden ( August, 2nd - the day of the great Ilinden uprising against the Otomans in 1903, when the 10 -day lasting Krusevo Republic - "Krusevska Republika" was declared; also the date of the meetings of ASNOM (Eng: Anti-fascist Assembly of the National Liberation of Macedonia) in 1945, where Macedonia was declared as a free state with its official flag, language and alphabet), and others...

I think, there is an error in the table regarding the Ramadan: It's not the first day, which is celebrated, but the last day or the first day of the next month "Ramazan Bajram". On the web-site of the US embassy in Skopje, an elaborate list of official holidays as well as Government-designated religious and ethnic community holidays is provided. It would be great, if someone with a broad Macedonian background could maintain this page of F.Y.R.o. Macedonia state holidays for those of us, who are visiting this multi-ethnic and -religious country. Thanks.
