The links on this page are to UNESCO data sheets that seem very out of date. The distribution information especially is quite dated.Ven8zia (talk) 20:09, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the information about every atom of silica going through a diatom 40 times before sinking to the ocean floor seems out of place and distracting from the point of the article. 2600:8800:1E00:25BC:963:68D2:8B46:DB33 (talk) 01:30, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why does Pseudo-nitzschia produce domoic acid?

How does the diatom benefit by synthesizing this molecule? What function does it serve naturally? It doesn't seem to deter predators like razor clams. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.53.24.225 (talk) 13:25, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ornithine-urea Cycle

I do not see the relevance of this new section to Pseudo-nitzschia, specifically. As well I do not think that it belongs under the heading of Life Cycle. I suggest deleting it, unless the initiator of this section can provide a justification for it here. Stephen S. Bates (talk) 00:06, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
