Prisoners (yup[]aye), although this is here for show, I wouldn't classify this as a syndrome. I would put it into the catergory of: Welcome to the end my freind, and play the Doors classic. Guantanamo dynamic. Fizzy Boarding anyone?

The opening animation of the TVO movie programme Magic Shadows includes a depiction of "prisoners cinema" toward the end. (from 0:38 to 0:49 in the linked video.)--207.112.105.197 (talk) 10:18, 18 August 2010 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.10.59.12 (talk) [reply]

Who is Oster?

I see the name "Oster" mentioned as if this were someone well-known enough that a simple last name would suffice. I am assuming Oster would be a researcher on the subject, or perhaps on ghosts? That this isn't clear to me is an indicator that it's a hazy reference. If someone familiar with this could clarify, that would be nice, thanks.--24.22.241.225 (talk) 06:08, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Presumably it's the Gerald Oster of "Auditory Beats in the Brain" fame, which was also published in Scientific American in the 70s. There's some coverage of this in binaural beats. K2709 (talk) 07:38, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oster

I removed the sentence regarding ghosts since ghosts don't seem to have anything to do with this article. Not even sure why it's part of project paranormal. Also, I'm guessing sensory deprivation is a large part of this but google scholar isn't turning up much. Noformation Talk 19:53, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

sounds like..

sounds almost like a Camera obscura. i made a good one in high school... are the human figures upside down? one other example of probably the same thing was in an episode of The Simpsons where lisa and homer tried some flotation/isolation tanks at a hippie shop. the shop got repossessed while they were inside and took homer's tub, homer went for a trip in the reposssor's truck, while lisa experienced the cinema. Just close your eyes

Isn't this what happens when you close your eyes? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.64.240.227 (talk) 16:04, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Popular culture

Would Keir Dullea's hallucinations in the final portion of 2001:A Space Odyssey fall under the category of phenomena experienced by an (albeit fictional) astronaut? PurpleChez (talk) 19:56, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
