Map of the United Kingdom and European Union

Can we have the Isle of Man on the map be changed to the colour grey? As The Isle of Man is neither and never has been part of the United Kingdom and furthermore it has never been an EU member State.

That's a thought, but the article is not specifically on Brexit but on international relations between Britain and the European Union, in which the Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Gibraltar are represented by the British government. There is another version of the map, at: File:European Union United Kingdom Locator (territories lighter).svg. Hogweard (talk) 17:51, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Trade deal negotiation between the UK and EU]]

Can we review the draft: Draft:Trade deal negotiation between the UK and EU. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.185.254.235 (talk) 20:03, 5 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

After de-obfuscating your post, it is evident that article is already live and is no longer a draft. What review do you want to see? and can you post your concerns at talk:Trade negotiation between the UK and the EU rather than here? --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 22:36, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Map colours

We appear to have a dispute about which map colours to use.

  • the red/blue version uses the conventional colours for UK and EU as used in almost all other articles.
  • the orange/green version looks very pointy for Ireland, where it is very open to being misinterpreted as intended to highlight the DUP/SF colours. Can anyone point to any advantages?

Kaihsu reverted my restoration of the red/blue version, saying "The colour code matches this map". What colour code? where? The red/blue version has been in use for months until an IP editor changed it yesterday without giving an intelligible explanation. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 09:54, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There is colour coding in the infobox, in the colour stripes just above the flags: Template:Infobox bilateral relations. Either colour scheme is fine with me – just be consistent. Kaihsu (talk) 09:57, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I completely missed that thin stripe. Unfortunately those colours are hard-coded in the infobox, which I am not going to change. So if it all kicks off again in Ireland, blame Wikipedia! ;-) --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 10:22, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
