The page [Phosphoryl group] is flagged as being an orphan that is not cited by any other page. But I found it by a link from the first sentence of the page [Phosphorylation].Daehlerr (talk) 20:06, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

I have not made many edits yet, so I was not comfortable using the "[|att]" procedure in attempting to remove the orphan flag, but it seems to me that this page has met the criterion for such removal, so I urge anyone with an adequate familiarity to do whatever's necessary to remove it. I'm not much of a chemist either, but I found my way here while researching Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), which is the brain condition thought to result from multiple concussions and similar head/brain trauma. With the mounting level of attention being drawn to this subject by the plight of athletes in football, boxing and other sports, I would expect a substantial increase in the number of page hits garnered by these and related articles. Also, the article defines phosphorylation as the addition of a phosphoryl group [P03], but all the examples seem to involve a phosphate group [P04]. I'm not much of a chemist, so I could easily be missing something basic. Daehlerr (talk) 20:12, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
Clarification about what is and is not a phosphoryl group
This parenthesised phrase at the beginning is obviously very important: "(The correct chemical name for this −PO32− group is phosphonato, and phosphono for −PO3H2; as phosphoryl in chemical nomenclature means a trivalent > P(O)− group.)"
However the rest of the article appeats to be talking about a phosphonato group. I presume this is because in reality people, including in technical contexts, refer to the phosphonato group as a phosphoryl group. This needs clarification from someone who knows about the subject, however.
