Can someone confirm that Phagolysosome, Endolysosome and Secondary Endosome have the same meaning? Yes, they do have the same meaning137.142.172.137 (talk) 13:21, 9 November 2016 (UTC)

EDIT SUMMARY.

When I initially "discovered" this article, I found it to be verbose and the information awfully scanty with no references whatsoever.The "improvements' I have made include:

• Addition of references
• Explanation of phagolysosome formation.
• Addition of some importances of phagolysosome formation as well as an image.
• Addtion of phagolysosome function.
• Breakdown of article into sections.
• Rewording of some sentences as well as deletion of irrelevant information.

However,this article can still be improved by:

• Thorough explanation of the concept of phagolysosome formation;This involves a whole lot of proteins that I found to be complex but I refrained from adding that section because I was not sure of how to break down the mechanism into simple and easy- to- understand words and of course,I did not want to confuse readers.
• Addition of more references;I was not sure if some sentences needed references or not.

Deleted some questionable material

In overhauling this article, I have also commented out a hunk of material that struck me as quite doubtful. If any of that material is in fact correct, then it is at least highly confusing. So rather than meriting simple restoration, it would require clarification.

• For one thing, the claim that phagolysosome formation requires an increase in calcium seems to contradict the very title of the reference with which it is annotated: "Phagosome-lysosome fusion is a calcium-independent event in macrophages" [emphasis added].

• The next sentence describes phagolysosomes as constituting a "nutrient-limiting environment," but then the sentence after that reports a finding that "phagolysosomes may contain more carbon sources and nutrients than other organelles" [again, emphasis added].
