Blacklisted Links Found on Paytm

Cyberbot II has detected links on Paytm which have been added to the blacklist, either globally or locally. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed or are highly inappropriate for Wikipedia. The addition will be logged at one of these locations: local or global If you believe the specific link should be exempt from the blacklist, you may request that it is white-listed. Alternatively, you may request that the link is removed from or altered on the blacklist locally or globally. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. Please do not remove the tag until the issue is resolved. You may set the invisible parameter to "true" whilst requests to white-list are being processed. Should you require any help with this process, please ask at the help desk.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Add references or watch the article shrink to nothingness

Since the article already reads as a brochure for Paytm, to all interested parties, please note that unless references are added to support the claims/data in the article, the content will eventually be removed, and the result will be a shriveled, sad stub of an article. Why is Cobrapost repeatedly removed?, Is this a Marketing Broucher for PayTM?

Why is the cobrapost references removed several times inspite of video proof of sting operation? Is this a marketing place for PayTM? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.204.18.169 (talk) 06:51, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions for New Sections

More information can be added to the article by creating new sections on following topics regarding PayTM

  • PayTM Money
  • Marketing Campaigns (like PayTM Karo & Scan any QR code)

Further product information could be added detailing various features / products like Postpaid, UPI, Wallet, Full KYC etc. Nitin.35 (talk) 09:22, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Valuation mnetioned in the summary looks to be old, needs to be updated as per the latest funding round. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nitin.35 (talkcontribs) 09:27, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request for translation in Italian

Can someone translate this article again in Italian? so that user:Hypergio will take it online? I've saved a copy of the translated text for my own personal use, foreseeing the infantile reaction of some WP administrators. If anyone would like to collaborate, I would be pleased to take part in this new adventure. hope someone will want to help.Philosopher81sp (talk) 22:49, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Remove Lawsuit by PayPal from lead

The lawsuit doesn't have merit for inclusion in the lead of article. Companies like MSFT, GOOGL and TSLA have shit-load of BS lawsuits against them and those are not mentioned in the lead of their respective articles. PayPal hasn't even won the case. I will remove it from lead and probably add some where in the middle. Note that the text logos do not meet the threshold of originality needed for copyright protection. -- Eatcha 07:17, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Different values for shareholding

The percentages of shares owned in the Funding and share holding section do not match the values in the infobox. E.g Alibaba Group 7.18% versus 29.71%. I'm not sure which list is correct, so I hope someone will check it out and make the necessary corrections.--S Philbrick(Talk) 14:04, 29 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge of One97 Communications into Paytm

The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
To not merge given the distinct content for the company (complexity of ownership changes) and the brand (independently notable) means that the readers are best served by having the topics discussed separately. Klbrain (talk) 13:29, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

One97 is the holding company of Paytm and its associated entities. There is no reason to have two articles when the subject of both articles is the same. This is my second attempt at this merger; my previous attempt was thwarted on WP:BUREAU grounds, although there was an open discussion at Talk:One97 Communications. Maduant (talk) 07:45, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

☒NOppose : The entity also have other subsidiaries, including PayTM Payments Bank, which has its own wiki page. Manasbose (talk) 12:58, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Paytm Payments Bank is not a subsidiary of One97 Communications. The majority stake in PPB is held by Vijay Shekhar Sharma. Regardless of the ownership status of PPB, the articles in question here are Paytm and One97 Communications, so please refrain from invoking WP:OSE.
If you take a look at any random news report, "Paytm" and "One97 Communications" are used interchangeably. This drives home the point that Paytm is the trade name of One97 Communications and the WP:COMMONNAME used to address One97 Communications. So we have two articles on the same topic, which unsurprisingly contain much of same information. This is exactly the reason why we don't have duplicate articles for Nykaa's parent FSN E-Commerce Ventures or DMart's parent Avenue Supermarts or IndiGo's parent InterGlobe Aviation.
Maduant (talk) 06:24, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
☒NSpeedy oppose : One97 Communications Limited is the parent company that owns and operates the popular brand Paytm. Paytm itself is a renowned payment app that offers a wide range of comprehensive payment services to both consumers and merchants. Therefore, merging One97 Communications into Paytm would not be appropriate, as it is important to maintain a clear distinction between the parent company and its brand or app. DSP2092talk 11:41, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose : One97 Comm. is the parent company and paytm is an app which is owned by that parent company. The parent company has previously gone through many changes in the way they operate the respective holding of investors. Paytm is a whole seperate thing which offers super-app like services. To be able to distunguish, it is best to keep them seperate. Thewikizoomer (talk) 04:24, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
