Blacklisted Links Found on Parentification

Adolescents

Arllaw, based on resources such as this[1] Hooper one, do you think we should change "whereby a child" to "whereby a child (usually an adolescent)"? GBFEE (talk) 22:59, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I suspect that the intent was to use "child" in the sense of "parent and child". Briefly looking at the literature, I don't think that we should say "usually an adolescent", but I do agree that clarification is appropriate. Please review the change I made. Thanks. The reason I asked about using "usually an adolescent" is because the resources on this topic tend to focus on elder children and those elder children, as discussed in the resources, tend to be adolescents. The Hooper resource starts off defining parentification with the words "in which adolescents", but this could be because the book is about adolescents. And its first paragraph on page 2025 does say "parentified child or adolescent". Your choice of "child or adolescent"[2] works. Thank you. GBFEE (talk) 21:30, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
