Cladogram

This cladogram has cnidaria and bilateria as siblings, with placozoa as their cousins. The cnidaria article (see Cnidaria#Evolutionary_history) has placozoa as a sibling of bilateria. Is one of them less accepted, or, should we at least note why there is a discrepancy? — Henry chianski (talk) 20:32, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The references in the cnidaria article are ancient. Placozoa is now usually seen as sister to cnidaria or cnidaria + bilateria.Jmv2009 (talk) 19:01, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling

Is there a reason for the anomalous capital H? Koro Neil (talk) 23:55, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The historical explanation is given in the article at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ParaHoxozoa#ParaHoxozoa_or_Parahoxozoa. But as it explains, the capital H is both becoming less common and is abnormal for zoological nomenclature, so IMHO the page should be renamed "Parahoxozoa". There's also a page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:ParaHoxozoa that should be moved as well, and at least a few links to be corrected. ETA: I checked again, and there are a lot of links using the capital H. It's not clear how to update all of them. DWorley (talk) 03:37, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The explanation at ParaHoxozoa is tagged citation needed. Looking at Google it's not clear if the trend is to drop the camelcase. Is there a source saying there is a preference for normal case? —  Jts1882 | talk  07:28, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There are 83,000 links to "ParaHoxozoa" https://linkcount.toolforge.org/?project=en.wikipedia.org&page=ParaHoxozoa&namespaces= and 5 links to the category page. I've added a request to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requested_moves/Technical_requests#Technical_requests requesting help with fixing all the links. I suspect most uses are in the taxobox and that changes need to be made to the automated taxonomy system, which will only require four edits. I can do those, but we need to establish that the change should be made first. —  Jts1882 | talk  07:28, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Number of citations

On the lead section of the article, there are two {{excessive citations inline}} templates, one with 6 citations, the other with 16. How many citations would be required in each case? Alfa-ketosav (talk) 11:03, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
