Someone please help fix this article so that it looks like any other genuine wiki article :$. I gave it my all. Ratibgreat (talk) 11:09, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, an Urdu transcription could be added, along with an infobox and categories. I can add some of those but it would be good if you could do the language things. Also, extra references would be good. It's best if these are in English but if not then Urdu ones are fine. Valenciano (talk) 11:15, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry Bengali transcription, not an Urdu one as the song is about Bangladesh. Valenciano (talk) 11:17, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's alright. I'll work on the Bangla right away. The problem with citing is that, Bangladesh (former East Pakistan) doesn't like its Pakistani days, and we have a WONDERFUL system of systematically changing history. And so does Pakistan, and they don't like the fact we had an alternate anthem. Hence, no official source.Ratibgreat (talk) 11:19, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't need to be an official source, anything from books etc would be fine. It's just that in cases like these, if there aren't enough refs, then over-zealous users come along and tag it or nominate it for deletion. Valenciano (talk) 11:22, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This anthem audio is missing. Hopefully someone will find and add the audio there. We moved to 8.12 (talk) 15:12, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

English translation

Is there a reference for the English translation given on this page? It seems very clunky to me: for example, the constant rendering of "Pakistan zindabad" as "May the Land of the Pure live long" does not scan well (especially when repeated so many times) compared to something like "Long Live Pakistan" which would seem to me to be a better translation. Similarly the rendering of "tôuhīdī" as "monotheistic teachings", which could simply be kept as "Tawhid".

If there is an official translation of this anthem then it should be used and appropriately cited. Otherwise, if there is a better, unofficial translation available I would support its use on this page. SamBrev (talk) 20:51, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
