The Thomas Gordon linked to under Parent Effectiveness Training is someone completely different from the author of this method. I don't know enough about Wikipedia to disambiguate links to the two Thomas Gordons.

  • Good catch. So far as I can tell from a search, that Thomas Gordon doesn't have a page of his own, yet. I've unlinked his name. AndyJones 17:05, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Polyethylene terephthalate

Does someone who knows what to do want to add a link in to this article? Skihatboatbike (talk) 10:15, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, my first instinct is that Polyethylene terephthalate belongs in science, as it is a chemical, rather than technology. I am going to move it, and I am leaving this comment here as rationale.Mattman00000 (talk) 18:32, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Electronic Thing

What's wrong with including the usage of PET in Starship Titanic? --Baryonic Being 18:51, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PETPET (disambiguation)WikiNav data shows that the majority of outgoing traffic is heading to polyethylene terephthalate, making it the primary topic of the all-caps initialism "PET". Thus PET should be a primary redirect to the chemical. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 05:25, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose Google Scholar shows a distinct preference for positron emission tomography [1], as does Google Books [2] -- 64.229.88.43 (talk) 06:36, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Mellohi is right that most of the outgoing traffic is for the chemical, but the margin is low (the exact percentage for April falls within the range 57–67% [3], with that for March at 48–58%), and the main challengers are of comparable long-term significance. – Uanfala (talk) 12:05, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose there's quite a bit of traffic for positron emission tomography. A while back, I went through the "what links here" for PET to retarget the links to the correct target. At the time, positron emission tomography and polyethylene terephthalate where both quite frequent and redirecting PET to polyethylene terephthalate will, in the long run, create a significant number of incorrect links to polyethylene terephthalate. On the other hand, the status quo gives warnings to editors linking to the dab page PET, which minimizes the number of incorrect links. Pichpich (talk) 18:57, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
