What's an oxonium ion?

"The oxonium ion in chemistry is any positive oxygen cation, which has three bonds." Is that to say that in chemistry, an oxonium ion is any positive oxygen cation which has three bonds? Or am I missing something? If so, the sentence needs fixing. D021317c (talk) 12:22, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
