Ox or cows?
Does not make sense. Why is Ox gall from cows? -69.87.203.190 (talk) 18:58, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well, 'cow' is often used as a general term, including both sexes; maybe 'bovines' would be better. 'Ox' is also sometimes used generically rather than specifically (a castrated male draught animal). OTOH, why is ox-gall restricted to male in the first place?
