The name Osman Digna appears to be the fittest name for him. He was called Usman Digna by certain people. Prior to 1882 he was called Osman Ali. His father's name may have been Nisbet, a European, though Nisbet is said to have died when Osman Digna was about 13 years old. Superslum 18:33, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
Osman Digna died in 1926, not 1900
I'm basing this on information at: (1) Encyclopedia Britannica (2) Encyclopedia of the Nations and (3) Time Magazine
- That all seems fine—the same year is recorded by his biographer HC Jackson—but I'm confused concerning the relevance: This page lists Osman Digna's year of death as 1926 in three different places. What am I missing? Pathawi (talk) 12:29, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
