Removal of tags

I think the two problems pointed by MrX have been taken into consideration and answered ("refimprove" and "notability"). In the absence of feedback for 2 days, I allow myself to remove the tagging... please let me know if the problem is still present.

I have added Template:Primary sources and Template:Notability back to the article, since there seems to not be widespread reliable third-party sources available on the subject. I also note that you have a conflict of interest in this subject, as one of the authors of the journal article referenced. 84.251.84.243 (talk) 13:28, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I added mentions to the awards with sources. It seems to be notable and have third party sources now.
In the interest of transparency, I do use Orthanc in a professional setting, though I am in now way affiliated with Sébastien or Osimis. Chico Venancio (talk) 17:11, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Corrections

Dear all,

As suggested by MrX, I have just added more references in the article.

Regarding the general notability guideline, I think the article meets the requirements for open-source software, as Orthanc is officially part of the Debian Med project, and as an official Debian package is available. Therefore, the software has detailed publications that are independent of myself, as required by the Wikipedia notability for computer science (sorry, link in French only).

Could someone help me in further improving my article in order to meet the Wikipedia notability guideline? Thanks in advance! S.jodogne (talk) 09:01, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Name history

So... Why is it called Orthanc?

Just wondering since it's the same name as the tower in Isengard from The Lord of the Rings, any connection there? --82.4.137.216 (talk) 14:31, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The reason for using "Orthanc" is explained in the FAQ ;) S.jodogne (talk) 16:13, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Explain "DICOM Server"

How might this help someone who has dicom images they want to view, explore etc? Or is this just because there is some special reason folks would serve DICOM files with something other than a regular web server? ★NealMcB★ (talk) 16:03, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
