double standards much?

you won't allow primary sources on the main libreboot article, but you'll allow lb.at link with only primary source to this article.

conflict of interest suspected!

looking at you, @Yae4 92.40.218.255 (talk) 03:47, 1 June 2023 (UTC) 92.40.218.255 (talk) has made few or no other edits outside this topic. [reply]

Primary sources may be used when they meet criteria. See WP:PRIMARY. -- Yae4 (talk) 03:51, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

hah!

there is even a Phoronix article.

Phoronix articles are banned as references in the Libreboot article, so why are they permitted *here* in this article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.40.218.255 (talk) 04:37, 1 June 2023 (UTC) 92.40.218.255 (talk) has made few or no other edits outside this topic. [reply]

Note the nuance here: Phoronix articles are not a reliable source, but the "further reading" section articles to not have to meet the WP:RS requirement but can be added if we think they are useful. PhotographyEdits (talk) 07:09, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Also, Phoronix is not banned, and is cited in hundreds (?) of articles.[1] -- Yae4 (talk) 15:11, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Libreboot.at

Include Libreboot.at?

1. Support

2. Oppose

PhotographyEdits (talk) 11:40, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose since the project is hosted by the FSF/GNU people and LibrePlanet is an FSF event, this source is not independent. I think it should therefor not be included in this article, until some independent sourced is published. Until that point, I think there is a WP:DUE weight issue. PhotographyEdits (talk) 11:40, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: It is premature to discuss this issue, again, until deletion or merge of Libreboot.org is settled. Suggestion: Review WP:PRIMARY and scroll down to WP:SECONDARY. See "Secondary sources are not necessarily independent sources" and the rest. As for WP:DUE, something has to be expanded first or this is not going to be much of an article, and so far it is only a brief mention of existence of Libreboot.at. -- Yae4 (talk) 15:30, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
