Can anyone else confirm that novobiocin is not an aminoglycoside antibiotic that targets protein? The recent changes made to this article are quite dramatic in replacing the earlier content. -- Permafrost 11:20, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Structure

Within the article is the statement Novobiocin is an aromatic ether compound.

I don't see any ether groups. I see a coumarin group and an acetal group. I am hesitant to remove this statement because it has been in the article so long. Errors mentioned in JCE
