Contested deletion

This page was tagged for speedy deletion by @Psychonaut: because it was created by a sockpuppet of an otherwise banned contributor (WP:G5). While I do not contest that contributor's block, I think the page should not be speedily deleted because:

  • The page is otherwise useful as the summit is notable and the subject of much literature
  • Criteria WP:G5 is for violations of the user's specific block or ban. Mushroom9/Kinoko kokonotsu is blocked for edits relative to India, and copyright infringements, and neither is the case here, the page being translated from fr:Conférence Nord-Sud de Cancún
  • Criteria WP:G5 is for pages that have no substantial edits by others, however page history shows that 5 other users added around 1,000 bytes to the page

For these reasons, I think WP:G5 does not justify the page's deletion, and will remove the tag. If this page is still contested, I think that AfD will be necessary. Place Clichy (talk) 00:27, 3 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Place Clichy: Actually, except for bots, only two non-sockpuppets have edited the article. One user simply added a stub tag, and the second user was you, whose edits also consist almost entirely of editing meta-information such as hyperlinks, categories, and maintenance templates. However, if you've already verified that there is no copyright violation and are willing to take responsibility for the material contributed by the sockpuppets, you're welcome to do so with my thanks for your vigilance. —Psychonaut (talk) 10:56, 3 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
