Merge discussion
I believe Mukyōkai should be listed as its own separate movement and not lumped into some other generic thread. And I think other religious movement entries should also be separate. I don't want to have to read all the other threads attributed to a non-church movement just to focus on the Mukyōkai. It tends to wash them out. Where do we stop if we start merging similar sounding topics? And who's to say what goes with what? Are all the Christian sects going to end up being one big article on variations of Catholicism? How far does it go? I believe it will be more clear if each gets its own day in the sun. There could also be a generic article on the overarching religion of which it is a subset, but keep it in its own category, please. The one reason to lump all religions into one article is that more eyes will see the various paragraph subsets and more eyes seeing mean more accuracy, generally.
- Wait a minute. These cover the same thing, either that or the translation on this article, and the term's meaning on the other article are incorrect. I'm going to merge these because they are the same thing and are two very short articles to begin with, and any distinction would be better served (if they were only slightly different) in one (only slightly longer) main article. Yes, the entry "Nonchurch Movement" should be merged with the other entry "Mukyokai". There is absolutely no reason why they should be two separate entries simply because the former is a straight English translation of the latter, unless there is a "western" generic concept which may be identified as "non-church movement." If such is the case, the reference to Uchimura should be removed from "Nonchurch Movement" or should be refered only as one of the examples of such movements. Otherwise, having two separate entries makes no sense and gives a false impression that they are two separate concepts.
