Deja, didziausios Europos yra ne Nidoje, o Prancuzijoje (Dune du Pilat).

Church

Pretty good article about a lovely place that I've visited several times. However, I suggest that a description be added of the old, restored German church and its graveyard with tombstones of fishermen lost in the lagoon and other residents of old Nidden. I looked at the German Wiki entry but didn't find anything about the church there.

Etymology of Old Prussian nida - 'fluent'

Is there anyone who can provide a source for this alleged etymology of the city's name? No search for an Old Prussian nida 'fluent' have yielded any results in Trautmann's Die Altpreußischen Sprachdenkmäler 2nd ed. 1970, or Vytautas Mažiulis' Prūsų Kalbos Etimologijos Žodynas in four volumes 1988-98. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vindafarna (talkcontribs) 20:22, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
