I am need of some help gathering infomation that is reliable on the Tufaro brothers. Branches of the Matranga crime family have also settled along the southwest coasts of both California and Florida as their Sicilian ancestors were citrus/orange growers. Although many may have legitimate businesses today, some continue to participate in illegal and criminal activities such as extortion and burglary using methods of psychologic intimidation such as the murder of family pets or incessant, ongoing home vandalism to achieve their hegemony. Matthew Marcello

Matthew Marcello, 11/30/1964, is the 59 year old grandson of the late Carlos Marcello, I'm told that in February of 2010, he took the helm of the New Orleans crime family. And has kept an extremely low profile. Raised in the French Quarter of New Orleans, he was featured on the front page of the times picayune as a toddler held by granfather Carlos Marcello with the caption "da new boss". As a businessman in Lafayette, La. He thrived as owner of an addictions treatment center, and real estate buyer/seller until the time came for him to take over New Orleans. Immediately he became a target for the F.B.I, and evaded an attempt by federal prosecutors prosecutors and the F.B.I. to indict him on murder for hire charges, stemming from several reports that he was the gunman in 3 different murders in nearby Vermillion parish. Currently residing in Orleans parish, the younger Marcello seems to have the same suaveness as his grandfather. He has only been convicted of tax evasion in '11 and minor traffic offenses. He operates very much the same ways as his grandfather. Running the City with an iron fist or "blackhand". Sadly in 2012 his wife committed "suicide". Many reports claim she was shot by federal agents. Marcello had a privileged background in Nola, but being partially raised in nearby Tangipahoa parish, he lived the life of a middle class child until graduation, he then attended Tulane University on a baseball scholarship. After college he was sent to federal prison for possession of heroin and transporting illegal aliens. Since remarried to the former Kim Billeaudeau of Opelousas,he has in no way strayed from the business of crime. Marcello had been the target of many investigations for gun running, murder, murder for hire and bribery of a federal judge. Walking free from all. It's unknown as to his net worth, but reports from Forbes magazine have placed him in the top 1 percent of the wealthiest men in America. He and his current wife have real estate holding in 18 different states, and remain on the boards of Lockheed Martin,and banks throughout the U.S. .
