Australian Aboriginal flag, the Torres Strait Island flag and many ensigns used in defence and civilian organisations come under other Australian flags Australia National Symbol. for flag we already have a separate page and in "see also" there is link for "list of Australian Flags". Agreed, although perhaps the koala represents only the eastern side of the country, and the above meatpies etc refers to the lyrics of a well-known song from the 1970s. What about the Eureka Flag, the Aboriginal Flag, the constellation of Crux, and Eucalyptus? In that case, we might as well add several well-used brand names of household goods and services (you probably know what they are.)BoundaryRider (talk) 06:10, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You are eidt warring. Your argument isn't coherent and logical. Maybe you have a point, but you're not presenting it in a rational and persuasive manner. Non-content free use

​@Tomorrow and tomorrow: Just for reference, WP:NFLISTS isn't limited to "fictional works" as you stated here; it applies to all types of non-free use and has to do with WP:NFCC#3 and WP:NFCC#8. Non-free content use isn't automatic and all ten non-free content use criteria need to be met for a particular non-free use to be considered policy compliant. Generally, non-free content is not used allowed to be used simply for "illustrative" purposes or "visual representation" in tables within articles per WP:NFTABLES, WP:NFC#CS and WP:FREER absent any specific source critical commentary about the image itself. If the image is being used in some other article, then it's preferable to provide a link to that article (or in this case the file's page) instead per item of 6 of WP:NFC#UUI. If disagree with this assessment and believe a WP:CONSENSUS can be established for the use of File:Flag of the Torres Strait Islanders.svg in this article, then perhaps the best thing to do might be to seek one via WP:FFD. If, on the other hand, you keep trying to force the image into the article despite others disagreeing with you, you're likely going to fun afoul of WP:EW and run the risk of your account being blocked. Even if this file wasn't licensed as non-free content, it's use in the article still would be subject to consensus and the WP:ONUS would fall upon you or anyone else wanting to add the file to establish said consensus. -- Marchjuly (talk) 23:31, 15 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't threatening your account and apologize if that's how my post came across. I was just trying to point out (rather clumsily perhaps) that reverting multiple times often can be seen or mistaken as edit warring even when there was no intent to do so. You previously tried to add this file before and it was removed each time. At some point when that happens, it generally not a good idea to try and make the same edit again, but instead seek consensus to do so. -- Marchjuly (talk) 23:58, 15 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
