Germany? Why?

Does anybody know why, despite being an American band, their debut CD came out in Germany a year before the US? DanielDPeterson + talk 23:50, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

*NSYNC (album) → 'N Sync (album) – The proposed title is consistent with similarly titled articles, especially 'N Sync itself, and adheres to MOS:TM. You'll find sources that refer to the album as *NSYNC sure enough, but they almost always refer to the band with the same stylization. Surely the titles for the band and their self-titled album should match one way or another. BDD (talk) 18:34, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. I am sort of embarrassed to admit this, but I am a bit familiar with the press releases during the time of 'N Sync's history of existence. I did not even start seeing the group's name stylized as 'N Sync until after the release of their second or third album. Given this information, I more recognize their first album being stylized just as it is rather than at the location of the proposed move, especially given that their name was stylized as *NSYNC during the release of this album. In fact, I would even say that the current title is the WP:COMMONNAME. Steel1943 (talk) 03:42, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with that, and I would agree to this type of move on most occasions. However, due to all the sources that have the name of the album stylized as it is currently in this article's title, as well as having some knowledge on this subject myself, I believe that the way this article's title is currently styled is such a recognizable WP:COMMONNAME for this album that the article's current title is superior to being subject to MOS:TM guidelines. (This discussion might become, more or less, a discussion about which guideline is superior in this case. :) ) Steel1943 (talk) 16:23, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Small typo/omission in track listing note

The track listing note reads:

Lead vocals provided by JC Chasez and Justin Timberlake except on "Thinking of You (I Drive Myself Crazy)", where Justin Timberlake sings lead on the opening verses followed by Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone on "Together Again", where Chris Kirkpatrick & Justin Timberlake sing lead. On I drive myself crazy.

It's very hard, if not impossible to understand. There is also what appears to be a superfluous fragment at the end of the sentence.

I think what's meant is: and on "Together Again"

It starts to make sense that way, especially if the last fragment "On I drive myself crazy." is deleted.

'N Sync (album) → NSYNC (album) – After this article was renamed in November 2013 to be consistent with the band article title, the band article was renamed to become inconsistent with its eponymous album article again. See that RM discussion at Talk:NSYNC/Archive 1#Requested move (2014). The term is an acronym formed from letters of band member names, which may justify the all-caps. The album cover uses all-caps with no space. So does the navbox at Template:NSYNC and so do some sources. This would removed the strange use of an apostrophe followed by a capital letter at the beginning of the title, which I think is justified by MOS:TM. —⁠ ⁠BarrelProof (talk) 22:13, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
