Name article

I turned the article into a name article, it no longer fullfills the definition of being a disambig page. --Striver 11:54, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You should have created a separate article with this name without moving the disambiguation page, which is clearly necessary. Please restore the disambiguation page. Pecher Talk 20:19, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sure. --Striver 13:20, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup

This article is very incoherent and needs a clean-up. --193.166.233.65 13:13, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, this article is one of the messiest I've seen on wikipedia. In particular, the "History" section has almost no coherency at all; in places it reads almost like a trivia section. The table listing the popularity ranking of the name (or this particular spelling of the name) needs explanation, too.--131.193.179.146 00:16, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Unless the people on this article are known simply as Muhammed, they should be moved to the name article. Lkjhgfdsa 0 (talk) 09:34, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Popularity of the name

"Muhammad is now the most common name (first and last) in the world.[12] It is estimated that more than 15 million people in the world bear the name Muhammad"

Chinese surname Li 李 is the most common surname in the world. It's estimated that around 108 million people use it worldwide. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li_%28surname%29 --193.166.233.65 13:13, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If all spelling variations are included (Muhammad, Mohammed, Mohamed, Muhamed, Mohmed etc.), it is the most common first (but not last) name in the world. Lkjhgfdsa 0 (talk) 09:34, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
