This article really ought to be updated. It is not researched, as evidenced by the first sentence. A motorrad is a very real thing, including the actual model that Kino has in Kino no Tabi. If I have time, I'll be glad to update it, but thought I'd put this note here in case it draws anyone's attention (and to act as a reminder to myself). --'Kash 14:46, 27 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to point to the fact that in the novel, the author often introduce, in brackets, 'motorrad' (which is really 'motorride') as a two-wheel bike which are not able to fly in the sky. Also, most of what is described for 'Anime Hermes' is in fact taken from the novel (that is, it is not especially just the anime in which the events occured e.g. how Hermes met Kino) ----'itakoaya 14:46, 20 March 2006

The German word "Motorrad" just means "motorcycle," as in a motorized bicycle. The German and English words for "motor" are identical.

In fact, rad means wheel: in German, a bicycle is "fahrrad" while a flying disk is "flugelrad" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.85.160.100 (talk) 22:53, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
