Talk:Mirza Tahir Hussain

Untitled

There is detail in this article which I've never previously had brought to my notice - i.e. it's never been mentioned in any of the many, many TV news items I've encountered about the case - namely, that the dead man was, allegedly, shot with his own gun. If this is the case then obviously all sorts of questions arise as to why that man had a gun and how it came into play on the occasion of his death? And it gives rise to different questions, for example, than in a situation where the gun was owned by the man under sentence of death!

I think, as a 'casual observer' interested to learn more about the case I am constantly confronted with via the UK media, could the author(s) of this article say more on this point please. I believe it is of some import and yet it is only here I have seen it mentioned to ANY extent.

Thank you

Mad Carew

- It is mentioned briefly on at least link 11 from the wikipedia page (BBC news)[1]

Chronological order

I have re-organised the External Links into chronological order, as I feel that this describes the progression of Mirza's story more naturally; also, the latest news can easily be found by going straight to the bottom. abdullahazzam

Inconsistency in photograph sizes

I have added a photo of Mirza Tahir Hussain as he appeared upon his release. However, the photo does not match the size of the previous photo. Is there any way to force them to be the same size? abdullahazzam

Edited the tone

There is mention of the fact that the Khan mother threatened to set herself on fire if Mirza Tahir was pardoned. There was what I took as a sarcastic comment after - "it remains to be seen whether she will follow through on this." I have removed it, as it left a bad taste in the mouth.
