Piers Morgan, etc.

Not Piers Morgan's finest hour [1]. But Lynch has become recently notable for his calm and robust reaction to ridiculously biased interviewers. I think there is coverage in mainstream media, e.g. here: "The bizarre two and half minute exchange eventually came to a head with Lynch having to tell Morgan to ask him questions about the important issues he was on the programme to discuss.", here and here and here. PLace of birth

I'm guessing that Lynch's birth registration record at FreeBMD is this one, which gives the district as Paddington. But most sources say just that he "grew up" in Paddington. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:47, 14 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Extended-confirmed-protected edit request on 3 November 2022

This page incorrectly shows the nationality as British. This is wrong. I have edited it to show the nationality as Irish as this is accurate and I have provided the source (as below) to his UK tax return which clearly shows this. There are numerous other sources to verify his Irish nationality.

Those are not "tax returns", they are company appointments. Many British people have Irish passports. You are automatically an Irish Citizen if you were born abroad to a parent who was born in Ireland before 2005. Many MPs have applied for one as it confers all the benefits of being in the European Union. Ok. If..he had lived in England for 1 day or all his life does not necessarily dictate his nationality. I have provided 2 sources as below that prove he holds an Irish passport therefore has Irish nationality. Pedantic comment about companies House register, but thank you for the distraction from the main issue. Your comment seems to imply British trumps Irish? Odd. He does not hold a British passport and does not identify as British, maybe the same way that your Ex PM Johnson is not American despite being born in the New York. Get it...? How would one prove that Lynch doesn't hold a British passport exactly? But in any case one doesn't need to hold a British passport to be a British citizen. And.. (just one of) the other links that state this fact won't post here. It is from the Irish Examiner (national newspaper) from 25/06/22, named "UK rail union leader Mick Lynch to watch Cork City at Turners Cross". Why do you assume I'm a man? If you have any sources where Lynch identifies as Irish, I'm sure we'd all like to see them. Otherwise we're left with that single uk.gov source that proves nothing. Perhaps Lynch's son James can enlighten us? "UK rail union leader Mick Lynch to watch Cork City at Turners Cross"?
