Honourable?
Why is Sir Michael Havers and his sons Philip and Nigel referred to as "Honourable". Is there a relinquished peerage somewhere that we have not been told about? "Honourable" is a courtesy title conferred on certain sons of the peerage, does this include life peers? Sir Michael was a Privy Councillor, and hence the "Right Honourable" until his death, but that does not pass on to sons. Is there a clue here?

He also wrote some books, including:
- Murder With a Double Tongue (with Peter Shankland),
- The Royal Baccarat Scandal (with Shankland and Edward Grayson), and
- The Poisoned Life of Mrs Maybrick (with Bernard Ryan).
I have the first one, and judging from its turgid style, I cannot imagine anything he wrote would attract many readers. Still, maybe we should mention this part of his life. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 07:23, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
