Format?

Firstly I must apologise that I did not do this the day I created the MIRCERA article, I have never used Wikipedia before as an editor and am still trying to understand how it works so please bear with me.
I would like to explain my reasons for creating the MIRCERA article, this is a new treatment for anaemia associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the Web is such an important place when researching and understanding health information. I use the Web myself for finding health information.
I thought it would be useful for the Wikipedia visitors to benefit from this content as there is already detailed information on the disease state and other treatments available on Wikipedia.
I created this article to open the discussion with the Wikipedia community; at no point did I intend to make this content promotional or biased in anyway. I have tried to make sure that the content I created was as factual as possible.
I support Wikipedia's desire to maintain its credibility by continuing to be a neutral, verifiable encyclopedia . It is now totally up to the Wikipedia community to decide whether to keep, delete or develop it.
Sorry once again for the confusion.

Name

Isn't it misspelled? I see "Micera" coming up on google quite a lot. I guess that's some proof that this wasn't a promotional article. LOL. I made a CERA page after Ricardo Ricco tested positive for it.Shayanakadidal (talk) 06:44, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've seen that spelling too, however, the Roche site is clear, it's Mircera, and as it is their brand name, their spelling should take precedence. -- Iterator12n Talk 13:47, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge?

There is a suggestion to merge two articles: “Methoxy polyethylene glycol-epoetin beta” and “Continuous erythropoietin receptor activator.” My take, for the time being: No. CERA is a category of drugs, including but not limited to methoxy polyethylene glycol-epoetin beta. So the question becomes, Do we write an article about a category, or an article about a member of the category, or an article for each? As long as we don’t know for sure whether methoxy has unique characteristics not present in other CERAs, I think we should keep the two articles apart. -- Iterator12n Talk 15:05, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Support The articles can be merged under “Continuous erythropoietin receptor activator” with relevant sub-section for “Methoxy polyethylene glycol-epoetin beta”. I contend that this will be a much-edited article in the coming weeks and months (Beijing Olympics & Tour de France) and some structure will be useful. Support. The article currently titled “Continuous erythropoietin receptor activator” should be merged into the “Methoxy polyethylene glycol-epoetin beta” article. In fact, the very title, “Continuous erythropoietin receptor activator” is misleading, since it is just a longer half-life derivative of epoetin beta, and it does not permanently bind to the receptor. --Zeamays (talk) 17:59, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The drug is listed covered by WADA regulations

The statement regarding not being covered by WADA regulations is incorrect - I have previously edited this but it seems to have disappeared.

The WADA section S2 is the same as the French section S2, both have the same statement regarding products that perform the same function as a listed substance, i.e. EPO = Micera in it's effects therefore it is banned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.114.176.128 (talk) 21:34, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
