Improve page

My goal is to help make this page as informative as the acupuncture page. My question is... when does it stop being a "stub"?

It's been listed on this article since its creation as while I am the owner, I can say it's the only non-social media site that discusses mesotherapy objectively from the "patient perspective." It was removed for the first time yesterday with a group of others, with a comment tagging the entire group as spam. My site has no advertising nor does it sell a product or service. As to the remaining links also being spam (as stated by Deli_nk yesterday), please note that three of were selected and added because are associations/societies of practitioners that are internationally representative.

Rest assured that my contributions to this page (which was started with the lofty goal to make it as informative as the Acupuncture page here on Wikipedia) are honorable and based on a genuine interest in this therapeutic approach and its expanding number of applications both in North America and in Europe where it was founded. Misleading?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but mesoderm is a temporary tissue type found in the embryo - it does not persist into the adult human body. It is not found under the skin - this is primarily connective tissue, a derivative of mesoderm but certainly not mesoderm itself. My name is Marilyn Rellanos , I'm a consultant in Mesotherapy and I've been advising many doctors all over the world for over 10 years to begin and to master their Mesotherapy mixtures and techiniques ,I just want to clarify the meaning of Mesotherapy in North America ,,, Mesotherapy is not only Cellulites or Fats dissolving ,As Mesotherapy is also a therapy that can treat other pathologies mostly in General like delaying Presbyopia, treat allergies as well migraine and accepted and recognise by our Social Security in France for all General and Pain Management from Sports Medecine,Traumatology to Rhumatology which is the most specialities of Mesotherapy meaning to say we have a Scientific reseach in the terms of MESOTHERAPY and to be pay from our Social Security it should had a reseach as we don't pay physician and medication in France as long that it is acknowledge from our health department ,And concerning Aesthetic Mesotherapy it is to acclerate the effects of topical cream in a similar active ingredients but it is in injectable of course speaking of Aesthetic as for Cellulites it is logically effective as like some topical cellulites reducer and if you will transform this in injectable and inject subcutanoeusly ,depend on what techinque you want to use ,logically the effects will be faster ?We also use this mainly for treatment and prevention for facial aging as like pigmentation ,wrinkles, post acne scars and acne .So if you believe and prescribe topical cosmetics you must also beleive in Mesotherapy effectiveness as it is the most economical and effective treatment for Dermal ,A doctor will just need a syringe ,injectable medication mixtures and good techinique !Dr.Pistor's say "Right dose in a Right spot " only certified physician MD can practise Mesotherapy in France the accident occured if this is use by the non Physicians as like aesthetician and this is much happend to South America where buying medication is very easy and mostly not indicated for subcutaneous injections and this can cause accidents as Mesotherapy has special mixtures to be able to obtaine a results and my comments is not a Physician say he knows the techinique of Mesotherapy means it have the same technique and the same ingredients on their mixtures .And please Mesotherapy is not fats dissolving we can't compete with liposuction or Lipotherapy injections ,it is to help weight loss like you are taking additional nutrients but also in localize area . My advice to the patients verified with your doctors if what he is using are indicated for injections as this can cause necrosis and for the Physicians please be sure what you are using is an injectable and not only in ampules or vials that seems to be injectable but are not,,, to protect Mesotherapy in the USA to those who believe in Mesotherapy.In short Mesotherapy is a Skintherapy in cosmetic as well a complimentary for other cosmetic procedures like LipoSuction,Lipotherapy , FILLERS ,IPL ,BOTOX laser but a localize treatment for PAIN where you don't need to take oral pain reliever in most cases . Peer review?

This article was a pretty poor entry which was putting the cart wayyyy before the horse in re. to having established either utility or safety. In point of fact there is still almost no peer-reviewed outcome data on this and the lack of standardization of what's injected is frightening to most of us who work in this field. Results?

I am curious if anyone has used this and their personal results?

Please note: this is very incomplete and inaccurate. I have used Mesotherapy for pain relief with very satisfactory results. Mesotherapy is not purely cosmetic.

Editing criticism section

I just began to edit the criticism section. It is filled with horribly misleading information -- no to mention the fact that some of the information is simply false. Mesotherapy isn't a surgical procedure. That's why these quotes from the surgical societies are ridiculous. Mesotherapy is an alternative to cosmetic surgery. Cosmetic surgeons compete with mesotherapy practitioners for patients. Having negative quotes from the plastic surgery society or from cosmetic surgeons is not of much value here. Historically, the two fields have criticized each other for everything under the sun. Is mesotherapy a perfect treatment, no. But it certainly shouldn't be demonized like it is in this section. There are many criticisms of mesotherapy that are valid. But this section doesn't really cover them properly. So I'm overhauling the whole thing ask123 (talk) 16:18, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
