Change 2020 Senate terms

Due to the double dissolution election their terms are ending in 2016 instead of 2020 so should the term end date be changed or a note added stating this? GhostOrchid35 (talk) 13:21, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it will need to be changed and the page renamed. The next one will be 2016–2019. Horatio (talk) 06:01, 11 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Zhenya or Dio Wang

There is a disagreement as to whether Wang should be referred to in this article as Zhenya or Dio. His Wikipedia page was moved from Dio Wang to Zhenya Wang by @Canley: on 9 September 2014 and back again by @Frickeg: on 27 October 2018. In relation to his membership of the senate, I can only recall him being referred to as Zhenya. The 2013 Ballot paper (p 33), Senate Hansard (4 May 2016) the Senate Biography lists him as Zhenya. Is there a suitable compromise such as Zhenya (Dio) Wang ? Find bruce (talk) 04:14, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

He was always commonly known as Dio, even if his legal name is Zhenya - searching for "Zhenya Wang" gets mostly rubbish from the second page, whereas the overwhelming amount of news coverage about him is at "Dio Wang". It's a rare case these days where they don't get the parliament to refer to them by their usual name, but was very common until the 1980s. "Dio Wang" is very clearly the WP:COMMONNAME. As TDW says, the Parliament using a more formal version of the name these days is rare, but not unknown. Frickeg (talk) 11:09, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have any authority for the assertion that he is commonly known as Dio, seeing as the only source in the article refers to him as Zhenya ? Find bruce (talk) 22:42, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
