Use as tea

It doesn't have much use as tea! It has a strongly medicinal aroma and taste. Are you confusing this with Camelia sinensis, as used for making tea..? Cjsunbird (talk) 09:41, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

Tea tree essential oil

I added some background information which was immediately criticised as being a copy of a list published by a trade association. I removed the saracastic comment - and would have entered into a dialogue with the contributor had they left contact details. I added some explanation for my reasons for copying text from a commercial orgaisation - namely that it is accurate and well-balanced. The existence of separate pages for 'Melaleuca alternifolia' and 'Tea tree oil' results in a duplication of content whilst neither does justice to the most researched essential oil in the world!
