BLP edit

I've edited this article to address significant WP:BLP and WP:N concerns. This article has problems especially with WP:POV, WP:SPAM, bald assertions of notability and fame, and WP:COATRACK. To address these:

  1. I've removed inline external links (WP:SPAM).
  2. I've removed cites to youtube, blogs, and the subect's publications ("Path of Practice," http://www.wisearth.org, http://www.mypeacevow.org, and http://www.motherom.org; regarding self-serving claims) (WP:SPS, WP:RS, WP:SPAM). The highly self-serving claims and claims about third parties they supported were also removed.
  3. Questionable claims supported by cites to sources that are unverifiable and likely unsubstantial. ("India Abroad", "The Berkshire Eagle" – see WP:V)
  4. WP:COATRACK section on the subject's association with particular teachers, supported by this unreliable source, which bases that particular publication on Tiwari's own literature. Several other claims of teacher-student associations are presented for their opinions and are simply not notable.
  5. Removed general WP:PEACOCK and other unsupported claims to "fame" including being "prominently featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan magazine, and appeared on the cover of New York Magazine."
  6. The false claim that she is 'praised as "one of the twelve outstanding Saints of India"' in this cite. Her inclusion in this is of non-note.
  7. Unsupported claims as to education.
  8. WP:POV headings such as "Rise to Fame."
  9. The entire section on non-notable "My Peace Vow" – absolutely no reliable third party coverage.
  10. Mentions of non-notable "international discussions" – no significant coverage; even her participation in the 2009 parliamentary address with other notable people isn't notable itself. (See WP:RESUME)
  11. Lengthy quotations and quotations section. Not notable.

I intend to nominate for deletion. Content discussion goes here; notability concerns should be voiced at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Maya Tiwari. JFHJr () 23:31, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
