Move to Matthias Weckman?
It's been suggested by recent scholarship that it's more appropriate to use the spelling "Weckman", not "Weckmann", because that is how Matthias himself signed his name. For a scholarly discussion, see "Matthias Weckman (1616–1674) und seine Autographe", Concerto, no.88 (1993), 30–31. A Google search indicates far more results for Weckmann than Weckman; he is still much better-known as Weckmann; and finally, Grove lists him as Weckmann. The new edition of MGG has yet to release the W volume. See also de:Matthias Weckmann. My own thinking is that it would be nice from a scholarly point of view to move this article, but it is probably not really worth it. Thoughts? —Sesquialtera II (talk) 21:05, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
