Notability
The notability of the "MasterFormat" page should not be questioned, except perhaps by someone who is not familiar with its importance.
The use of the MasterFormat specification/structure transcends "popularity". MasterFormat has been used in construction projects in the U.S. almost without exception for the past 30-40 years. It continues to be the most important format available. Access to knowledge about this format to professionals and laypersons (e.g. a layperson that may be building a home) alike is essential.
I have found this article very useful as a reference.

(Proposal) Common Work Results
Would it be appropriate to add a bit of discussion on "Common Work Results"? It could be part of this article, or perhaps in an article of its own. It appears to be a very common phrase in construction specifications and product data sheets, but as an outsider to the construction industry, I'm not completely clear on its history and significance. - I don't know anything about this history, but I can see Common Work Results in MasterFormat. There are Common Work Results section(s) at the beginning of each Division. They are intended to list requirements that are common to multiple sections within the Division. Much like Division 01 is intended for requirements that are common for sections in multiple Divisions.MLHardaway (talk) 23:31, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
