Not 20 years

somebody had written that arrowroot tubers are harvested after 20 years. This can't be - arrowroot is a staple crop, no staple crop (or really any widely-used crop for that matter) takes 20 years to grow. After googling it I read that the tubers are harvested before a year. I removed the 20 year clause

Cana edulis

I thought arrowroot was this plant - there is a link to an "Arrowroot Cana edulis" page, but no mention in the text.

Is this like potatoes - there is Solanum tuberosum and Ipomoea batatas, one from the Caribean and one from the Incas - different (but fairly closely related), independently cultivated for the same purpose in tropical and montane South America? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.243.60.12 (talk) 04:38, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is Wikipedia to be used for prescribing medications?
