Torture

• Did any Wiki editor vet the dramatic statement's "almost tortured to death" source? Ref 4 -> NYTimes article and only mentions his arrest. There is absolutely no indication that he was otherwise abused, and certainly not tortured to death.

Now, if such a statement was contained in Pachman's "Prague Spring" it would be valid to include, but it must be properly referenced.

• Ref 3, Pachman's "Modern Chess Tactics" is also used as a source for the torture statement, but again, without page numbers.

• There is a reference online, http://www.chesshistory.com/winter/extra/pachman.html , where in a letter to Bohatirchuk Pachman talks explicitly about being tortured . This would be a potential reference, and one that could be verified online.

Immediately after release from prison I returned to the Church and somewhat later (in an interview for Associated Press) publicly explained my reasons for my total break with Marxism. • Bobby Fischer was "enraged" after losing to Pachman? Source?

Actually, what does this mean, and why is such a flippant statement made here without any additional context, collaboration, or elaboration. IMO, as is, it's just conjecture and should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.237.103.173 (talk) 13:07, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
