What is the purpose of luatex? How does it compare to other tex based typesetting environments/packages?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Hukkinen (talkcontribs) 13:02, 3 July 2009 (UTC) [reply]

The current article is a great introduction for anyone who likes to access internals from Lua. But look at it from the viewpoint of a user who is very interested in producing documents and not particularly interested in how the computer does it. Is there anything that user should know about LuaTeX? Colin McLarty (talk) 16:30, 24 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

When will LuaTeX be able to do kerning (with microtype or by itself)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.20.183.233 (talk) 19:10, 20 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

LuaLaTeX vs. LuaTeX

It is not clear if LuaLaTeX and LuaTeX are the same thing or not. E.g., "Further reading" contains "A guide to LuaLaTeX".

"LuaLaTeX" is simply a name used by some people for using LuaTeX with the LaTeX format (as in the "A guide to LuaLaTeX" document you mentioned). Just added a sentence to the article about it. Shreevatsa (talk) 00:52, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
