Revision/Improvement

I'd like to have a stab at improving this article. I've used local field potentials as a research tool for most of my career, so I'm familiar with their nature and uses. I have been considering for a while writing a primer on recording LFP for people in my field, and doing some work on this article might get the juices flowing for that endevour. References

Can anyone please provide proper references for the articles cited in the text? I mean, just providing (Gray, 1995) is not really helpful... There is many Gray that has produced articles in 1995.--130.235.144.172 09:58, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

please could someone with the knowledge expand this page. Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kinnth (talkcontribs) 01:35, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree! All references should be provided! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.215.149.99 (talk) 14:16, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(Kobayashi 1997; Kamondi 1998) are not suitable references. I cannot find the related articles through my university's library. If anyone knows the articles that contributor doesn't want to go into detail on (which is a whole other complaint, since it could basically just be a list of investigated or potential affectors), please provide the doi's. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mwalle (talkcontribs) 00:22, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The way this article is written implies there is only one way to measure and interpret LFPs, which isn't generally true according to the literature. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Launcher2000 (talkcontribs) 19:02, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Someone needs to add the 1985 Mitzdorf paper as a reference, as it is the most accurate and most cited on the subject:

"Mitzdorf, U. (1985). Current source-density method and application in cat cerebral cortex: investigation of evoked potentials and EEG phenomena. Physiol. Rev. 65, 37–100." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.235.170.90 (talkcontribs) 16:42, February 21, 2012‎
