After reaading the comments below (and before having time to look up templates: as described in the DYK nomination above, the article is based on parts of Franz Kafka that were discarded there as too spezialized and too long, the list of works (by me) and notes on translation (by Maunus). I came to this via seeing it mentioned elsewhere. The text here includes some sources that had issues when it was in the Franz Kafka page and have seemingly been copied over. The online source "Aurora" now gives me an "unsafe website" error so I won't check it again, but it's to a story about a local theatre group, and when I last read had nothing about translations, nor any of those direct quotes. That's why it was taken out of the article. I've documented that somewhere, probably on the Kafka page, and can find diffs if required. The community college site is self-published, but clicking the "works cited" link there points to some very good sources. Needs to be sorted before going to main page. The first one is excellent, even from the first page. I'll download later and read - you and Pumpkinsky might get something from that to put back into the main bio too. The second I wouldn't use because it was recently published and possibly a mirror site. I'd dump the citations I mentioned above. Also, wouldn't be a bad idea to add the {{Template:Copied}} copied template for attribution to Franz Kafka unless it's been indicated in the edit summaries; that's how I usually do it, but this is a split of sorts. I removed the questioned source immediately, anything else? I am not familiar with that template. How would I say that the whole article is complimenting Franz Kafka, the lead is an excerpt from the other, the table of works was formerly in the other article (by me), the translation paragraph the same (by Maunus)? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:55, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

Normally I'd tell you to ask Moonriddengirl but she's busy supporting the VE release, so we'll have to figure it out ourselves. Somehow it needs to be shown that the text that exists here was copied from there, for attribution purposes. I'm a bit busy right now, but will figure it out later and do it for you. Gerda, I added without putting diffs in those fields b/c I assume you did the copying in more than one edit, and from more than one version I presume. This simply shows attribution, and I'm glad it worked. For the future, the easiest thing to do is simply to put in the edit summary "copy from Franz Kafka" (with the wikilink) or where ever the copying is from - it serves the same purpose and is sufficient. I do it often; clearly when working on a set of articles some copy/paste of text is inevitable. I'll download the pdf and read it tonight. Victoria (talk) 23:54, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

There's also a more complicated template: [1], for all the to be diffs are noted, but personally I don't think that's necessary, and you know me - not all that technically inclined. The result of the move request was: moved. The consensus is that the proposed title is both more consistent and more precise. Oppose move, support redirect, keep simple. The current title makes it easier to find the article as related to Kafka by the search function, compare Elektra discography (and many others), not Discography of whatever work. • ​​I'm not even sure what this article is. I would support a move to Franz Kafka bibliography, but that article already exists. There are some bibliography articles using the List of works by XXX but I cannot find any examples of an author with both such articles. The content of this article includes a partial bibliography with a section on translation issues but there doesn't seem to be a real reason for its separate existence. My suggestion would be to merge this list parts of this article into Franz Kafka bibliography and split off this section into a new article or, better yet, merge into Franz Kafka: Translation problems to English which already repeats a good bit of the material. This article is what was part of Franz Kafka but considered too long to stay part of it, an extension of the author's article. A merge is a good idea and was planned from the start, but I also have no extra time for it, nor anytime soon. It has worked like this for a while, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:26, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
